The Valen ModX stand alone solar system is designed utilising a tried and tested range of Valen core products, allowing the ModX to perform in perfect synchronisation. Valen EnduroGel battery system, Valen Industrial Field Cabinets, Valen Solar Panels and Solar Controllers all come standard, with optional extra’s able to be added to retrofit to your project requirements.

Valen’s energy management system allows seamless control and monitoring of all components, reducing operational complexity and ensuring future-proof integration.
Valen’s unified energy management system excels in cyber security, seamlessly integrating with your secure network with no link to the outside world. it monitors, controls and alarms on all on-site components – including HVAC, UPS, temp, humidity, access, energy system and generator etc – while linking across all energy storage systems. With servier redundancy for maximum reliability and built-in tools for scheduling maintenance and servicing, it streamlines operations, delivers realtime performance insights, and helps prevent issues before they arise.

Valen provides an agnostic, all-encompassing remote monitoring and management platform to track, analyse and optimise your telecommunications sites’ performance. Single dashboard for all data points including batteries, temperature, door alarms etc. If you think it, we can monitor it from this dashboard.
Seamless integration
The main job of the Energy Management System is to make sure everything is working together and synchronised. Valen’s monitoring solution can take a variety of protocols and feed out a selected protocol. For example, it can feed in MODBUS RTU or MODBUS TCP and feed out DNP3. These decisions are discussed and defined during Valen’s design stage.
Supports FCAS
The Energy Management System (EMS) supports Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) by actively monitoring and managing the battery energy storage system. It can quickly respond to changes in grid frequency by charging or discharging the batteries to help maintain stability. This dynamic response helps the grid stay balanced and supports overall grid reliability.
Dynamic and adaptable
Valen’s Energy Management System (EMS) for its Battery Energy Storage System is very flexible and can easily adapt to changes. You can add new drivers or protocols if needed, and they can be quickly uploaded to the EMS, making it ready to go. The system has 34 input and output points, both digital and analogue, which allows it to handle a variety of tasks. Plus, it uses very little power, making it efficient to run.
Cyber-security
Cyber security is and should be at the forefront of community battery deployment. Valen’s Energy Management System (EMS) comes with agnostic integration to all components through a control and monitoring network. This enables a single login and control from one platform and can be tailored to requirements.
Electrical Capabilities
- Valen Power ModX range uses highly efficient solar panels and is configured to harness the maximum Power in lowlight periods.
- The ModX unique Panel-tilt system allows techs to easily adjust angle to suit site requirement on install or should they change.
- ModX comes standard with the managed Weco Italian designed rack-mount units due to their ability to provide 7000 cycles to an 80% DOD and full visibility for Asset managers/ NOC.
- The ModX comes standard as a 48VDC unit to ensure efficiency and minimal losses. DC-DC conversion to 12/24VDC available. (Also 230Vac in Single, Split, and 3 Phase available on request.)
- Real-time data, monitoring, configuration, and control, including batteries are remotely or locally visible. Multiple ModX’s can be live on the one dashboard making asset management easy.
